Al seemed to renounce the stiff requirements of the pure academic world. He often refused to publish papers or books. His approaches were so unique, creative, betwixt the sacred and the secular that conventional reviewers found them unacceptable for their more restricted worldviews. But he was an accomplished and clear writer.
Here we document some of the citations he did produce, often from earlier in his career. There are some redundancies across the website because, for example, we might place an article on astronomy under Science/Astronomy but also under Reflections/On Science if the one article contains information on both. That way a person only interested in the sciences might read the article because it is under science while another might be more interested in philosophical insights and access it through that independent route.
