Al’s sixtieth birthday was a grand celebration at Asilomar, the beautiful conference grounds in Monterey, with many of his professional colleagues from nearly half a century of work. It was organized by his wife Donna Wilson. His 90th birthday took place after his wife had passed away and was held with close friends in Sebastopol.
